  5. I think Third, you you seem to be attacking the video for something it doesn’t even do: ridicule good browsers. Should the video lie about them, or maybe offer them as alternatives? It’s meant to be a little entertaining while also advertising the browser. Have you ever heard the voiceover in a car commercial say, “our car is great, but there are alternatives manufactured by our competitors that provide all of the same features”?

    Firefox is free, of course, but I think you get the idea.

  6. I think Three things.

    First, the video was originally released a few years ago. Netscape wasn’t used much, but it wasn’t dead.

    Second, it’s targeted at people who likely have no experience with any browsers besides IE, Safari and Netscape. Comparing Firefox to browsers most viewers have probably never heard of would be pointless.

  7. Where’s Konqueror, Dillo, Epiphany, Opera, and Chrome? Too good for Firefox? I mean seriously, this video is comparing Firefox to Netscape, a browser that died several years ago, and that Firefox is based off of, Firefox to IE, which is just stupid because IE is made to just be a built-in program to make Windows more complete, and Firefox to Safari, which is the only good comparison, but you could still argue the IE point with Safari. I mean seriously guys, do some research!
