How can I test my website in ALL browsers?

I need to do learn how to do it without taking expensive classes so free websites that teach it would help along with book names and software names. I am in real estate and would like to be able to do my own layouts, design, etc… I am looking to be able to do my own design for postcards, flyers, and mailings. In the past, I have used MS Word, Publisher and another dated program called Business Publisher Design. I do not own a MAC, and cannot buy one. I want to be a web developer, and wanna know what should i major in. I am confused between computer science and Web development. Most colleges simply don’t have web development it their majors list, which is unrealistic maybe i calling it wrong. So To be a web developer what degree is needed to be a web developer.
