How much is the plastic you put over windows during the winter?

I’m renting a house and the house is terrible. I pay $475 a month for windows that are closed but you would never know it, box air conditioner that lets in cold air of course, and a door that wasn’t put in right that lets in more cold air. Our heating bill, as you can imagine, is outrageous.
How much is plastic that you put over windows? Can you buy something for the door frame?
How do i get masking tape off my windows?

Hi there,
I used masking tape around my windows when i was painting (so no paint would get on the glass).
I left the tape on during the summer and now i cant get the tape off the window glass. When i try and pull it off most of it remains on there and is stuck solid. I have tried white spirit and lighter fuel and hot water but nothing will make it budge! any ideas?

but we kinda lack a toolbox…
We have hardwood & tile floors & tile countertops, in case that makes any difference!
(we have various kinds screwdrivers, a hammer, a level, a utlity knife, a tape measure)
i was thinking we NEED to get a screw gun / drill…
what other tools should we get for it?
o0h! i think i’ll need a dremel as well, one of the tiles on the counter is badly cracked

The windows in our bedrooms are so hard to open. I’m afraid in case of an emergency the kids won’t be able to get out. It takes all my strength to open them!
How can I prevent my car windows from fogging up in the winter?

My front brake pads are worn out and I plan on changing them tomorrow and need to know what tools I will need like the size of the wrenches and such. Please Help. Also any advice on tips or tricks of getting it done will be helpful.

My contractor has quoted $2500 for Marvin wood replacment windows for my home. Measurments 28×60 for two, 40×60 for 1 and36x59 for two others. Doesn’t include installation. How much should it cost?Submited by:DQ

I want to buy tools and I’m not sure what I will need. If something breaks I want to be able to fix it, and I will be putting together furniture. What do I need and how do I pick good quality. Also any tips on where to buy them cheep, quality but cheep.
