Please tell me what options the various software packages have, their advantages, and their prices… I’m looking for a Christmas present and will greatly appreciate any feedback. Note: I know nothing about quilting. I’m still learning the difference between a blanket and a quilt.

What tools are essential for woodworking?

I have drills, a miter saw, and circular saw; that’s it for my power tools. Aside from those tools, I have hammers, screw drivers, pliers, etc.

I have noticed that I am becoming very interested in woodworking and have done a few projects, but I want to continue to advance and perhaps someday be a furniture builder in my free time.

Which tools or power tools are absolutely essential to do your average woodworking project? Also, how can I learn more about these things? Is it just me, or is this the best past time ever?Submited by:Scott

I am buying bow making books for a christmas gift, and I would like to include a couple affordable tools with the book. It has been difficult to find out which tools to buy: a rasp, drawknife, c-clamps, etc—
If you know which tools are essential and where I can go to buy affordible (under 50$ for all of them) and quality tools that would be great!

What are the basic tools required in jewelry making?

I want to make my own jewelry from scratch, even the beads. What choices do I have as far as the materials I can use to make beads or pendants, for example, and what tools do I need to work with those particular materials?

Also, the rose petal idea sounds wonderful. If you wouldn’t mind sharing the recipe I would love to try it out!
