What are some inside games dogs play for exercise?

It is super hot in LA right now, and I would rather skip the twice daily outside walks with my dog. Any suggestions of some inside games we can play to beat the heat? Any unique toys that exercise my dog? Someone suggested having my dog chase a feather on a stick like cats do and another suggested trying those laser toys.

Also – any suggestions of toys that make my dog work for her food? (You know, the balls where the food is inside.)

Tug of war was a game I use to play with him, but he has now started to nip an tug at my step-son. So, I am looking for another game.I have tried fetch, but he does not bring the toy back. Any other games? He is a lab mix(terrier we think).Thanks, for your suggestion.Submited by:Mike Pence is a cutie pie !
