What type of window treatments should i use for our basement appartment windows?

I have 2 windows in my bedroom that are 48″ W by 36″ H. The sill is about 55″ off of the floor. I do need them covered completely at times for privacy. I feel that floor length would look odd since there is so much space below window. They seem a little bare w/only a mini blind or roman shade.Submited by:Nancy A

I’ve purchased a 1980′s built home that I am going to update and sell. The Andersen windows have dark sashes–if I paint the window frames white, will the sash look really strange and what other options are there for me in redoing the woodwork?

This series of three windows surround a fireplace. There are two longer windows on either side of the fireplace, and one shorter window above the fireplace. Each window is the same width and has the same size semi-cirlce arch above them.Submited by:Cheshire Cat
